Tori Sala- Social & Human Services Specialist

Tori was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, and grew up in the scenic countryside of Chattaroy. She graduated from Riverside High School and has been passionately dedicated to the caregiving field since the age of 18. Her professional journey began at Taco Time, where she worked for a year before transitioning into caregiving at a company in Spokane Valley. It was there that she discovered her love for social services. Initially unaware of the existence of supported living, she was moved by the stories of individuals without familial support. This realization fueled her passion and commitment to the field.

After being promoted to House Lead, Tori remained with the company for five years before taking on a new role as a Community Inclusion Specialist, also known as a “Friend Facilitator.” In this role, she helped individuals connect with social groups and explore shared hobbies and interests within the community. She particularly cherished her time with senior centers, where she was inspired by the lively camaraderie of feisty bingo players.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Tori returned to supported living, where she became a Peer Coach Training Manager. She played a vital role in teaching the 1163 DDA curriculum and leading a team of peer coaches who mentored new hires, ensuring they were well-prepared to support individuals effectively and collaborate as a team.

Tori is a lavender enthusiast and adores lavender-flavored treats! She enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, playing board games, watching movies, hiking, and collecting unique rocks. She’s also a music lover who frequents concerts and festivals and delights in hearing her beau play various instruments.

Tori's career is driven by her passion for helping others grow, thrive, and build confidence in their independence.

She is dedicated to advocating for her clients and empowering them to do the same, believing that everyone—no matter their background or challenges—deserves caring and supportive people who encourage them to reach their full potential.
