MEET YOUR ALLIES

Sean Devlin- CDP I

Sean Devlin was born in Canada but raised in the Pacific Northwest, where he developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and communities. He recently relocated from Texas, where he served as a special needs teacher in private schools. In this role, he taught essential employment-related skills, including money management, exploring unique work personalities, disability disclosure, and interview and resume development. Sean brings extensive experience in mental health services, having worked in job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, caregiving, and case management.

His professional background includes roles as a caregiver in various residential habilitation programs, a vocational rehabilitation counselor at the Plummer Social Services Center in Idaho, and an addictions counselor in Moscow, Idaho. During his time in Idaho, Sean gained valuable multicultural and holistic counseling experience, employing techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Self Change, group therapy, and traditional practices like smudge huts. He also built connections with local elders and participated in community gatherings to support individuals in achieving independence and personal growth.

Sean is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and pursue their goals. He adopts a genuine, accepting, and behavioral approach to teaching skills that foster success in both work and academic settings. He is honored to provide Career and Academic Development services through Triumph Community Services and looks forward to guiding individuals on their personal journeys.
