Hudson has lived in the Spokane area for a little over three and a half decades, with only a brief period living away from the Lilac City. After skipping several grades, he earned a GED and later graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Spokane in March of 1998. He finished classes on a Friday evening and had an interview with Boeing the following Monday morning, where he was hired right then and there.
Hudson spent more than twenty years in the Aerospace and Defense field, working in drafting and engineering design. Eventually, he grew tired of feeling like a small part of a massive industry and shifted his focus toward more people-centered work. He became an in-home caregiver as an NAR for about three years and later worked as a paraeducator in a local school district for four and a half years.
In his free time, Hudson enjoys nearly anything outdoors. He spends time kayaking, hammocking, road tripping, and camping off-grid during all seasons. On clear nights, he sometimes sets up one of his telescopes to capture photographs of objects in the night sky.
Hudson finds genuine joy in supporting others and making a meaningful difference in their lives. When he discovered Triumph and learned about the impact of its work, he felt compelled to join and contribute to the team in any way he could.
A quote that reflects the change he hopes to see in the world is, “I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again,” - Stephen Grellet
