Brian was born and raised in Hayden, Idaho, and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School. He moved to Spokane in 2005. That same year, while living between Idaho and Washington, he met Cathryn, and they’ve been together ever since.
From 1988 to 1993, Brian worked in the restaurant industry. Upon learning he had a daughter on the way, he chose to pursue a more stable career in heavy construction, installing underground utilities. He remained in that field for 18 years before deciding it was time for a change. In 2012, he began working in the Aerospace industry, where he began performing ultrasonic (NDT) testing on materials—a role he still holds today.
At Triumph, Brian serves as Treasurer, but his contributions go far beyond that title. He also assists in an executive support capacity, taking on a variety of responsibilities and offering consistent, invaluable support to the team.
Outside of work, Brian is a passionate music lover and guitar player. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially boating on the lake during the warmer months.
During the COVID-19 shutdown, Cathryn began working from home while Brian spent his days off renovating their house. He often overheard her leading meetings, managing employees, and writing training modules from her home office. He was blown away by her dedication, skill, and passion for her mission. When Cathryn decided to leave that company and co-found Triumph with Dawn Meyer, Brian was fully supportive from day one—and remains so to this day.
